Naval Dockyard Apprentice Qualification Details :
- The minimum educational qualification required for apprenticeship training in Designated Trades is a passing grade in Std 10, as per the guidelines of the Apprentice Act 1961.
- Along with the Std 10 examination, candidates must have achieved a minimum of 50% marks.
- It is mandatory to have passed the ITI examination in the relevant trade, and the Provisional National Trade Certificate with an aggregate of 65% marks is also acceptable.
- The ITI/ trade test should be completed at an institute recognized by NCVT.
- Candidates must possess the required qualification as of the closing date of the application.
- For candidates applying for the Rigger trade as freshers, the minimum qualification is Std 8 pass, without the need for ITI.
- Candidates applying for the Forger and Heat Treater trade should have passed the 10th standard, without the requirement of ITI.
