• General Duty (GD) : Born between 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2002 (Both dates inclusive).
• CPL (SSA) : Born between 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2004 (Both dates inclusive).
• Tech (Engg) : Born between 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2002 (Both dates inclusive).
• Tech (Elect) : Born between 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2002 (Both dates inclusive).
• Law : Born between 01 Jul 1994 to 30 Jun 2002 (Both dates inclusive).

• For General, OBC, EWS : Rs. 250/-

General Duty (GD)

• (i) Should hold a degree of recognised university with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
• (ii) Mathematics and Physics as subject up to Intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in each subject. The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.

Commercial Pilot Licence (SSA)

• (i) Should have passed 12th class or equivalent with physics and mathematics as subjects and should have scored minimum of 55% marks in each of the subjects (i.e. Physics 55% & Mathematics 55%). The candidates who have completed diploma are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.
• (ii) Should possess current Commercial Pilot Licence issued/ validated by Director General Civil Aviation on the date of submission of application.

Technical (Mechanical)

• (i) Should hold an Engineering degree of recognised university in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace with minimum 60% aggregate marks. OR Equivalent qualification in any of the above disciplines recognised by the Institutes of the Engineers (India) as exempted from section ‘A’ and ‘B’ and their associate membership examination (AMIE).
• (ii) Mathematics and Physics as subject up to intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in each subject. The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.

Technical (Electrical/Electronics)

• (i) Should hold an Engineering degree of recognised university in Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication or Power Engineering or Power Electronics with minimum 60% aggregate marks. OR Equivalent qualification in any of the above disciplines recognised by the Institutes of the Engineers (India) as exempted from section ‘A’ and ‘B’ and their associate membership examination (AMIE).
• (ii) Mathematics and Physics as subject up to intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in each subject. The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.

Law Entry

• A degree in Law from a recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

• Stage I: CGCAT (Written Exam)
• Stage II: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB)
• Stage III: Final Selection Board (FSB)
• Stage IV: Medical Examination
• Stage V: Induction

• Assistant Commandant in Indian Coast Guard is a Group A Post and carries the pay scale of Rs. 56,100/- to Rs. 1,77,500/ (Level 10 of 7th Pay Matrix).

• Height : 157 cms Minimum. (For Asst Commandant (GD) & 162.5 cms (For Asst Commandant CPL-SSA (Men/Woman) •
• Weight: Proportionate to the Height and Age, + 10 % acceptable.
• Chest: Well proportionate, minimum expansion 5 cms.
• Eye Sight :
• (i) Asst Commandant (GD): 6/6 6/9 – Uncorrected without Glass || 6/6 6/6 – Corrected with Glass.
• (ii) Asst Commandant (Tech): 6/36 6/36 – Uncorrected without Glass || 6/6 6/6 – Corrected with Glass.
• (iii)Asst Commandant CPL Holders SSA : 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other || correctable to 6/6

• STEP 2: Click on New Registration and the candidates will have to register themselves using their name and their email ID.
• STEP 3: The candidates will have to log in with their ID and apply for the post.
• STEP 4: The required documents have to be uploaded during the application.
• STEP 5: The candidates are required to pay the examination fee of Rs. 250 (SC/ST are exempted from exam fee payment).
• STEP 6: After payment, the candidates are then required to choose the examination centers of their choice.
• STEP 7: After successful submission of the IGC application form, the candidates are advised to make a copy of it for future references
