• Stage I : Prelims Written Examination
• Stage II : Mains Written Examination
• Stage III : Interview/Personality Test
• Stage IV : Document Verification
• Stage V : Medical Examination

UPSC Civil Service & Forest Service Prelims Pattern :

• Each question in both the papers will be of objective nature.
• There will be 100 questions in GS paper with 2 marks for each question and there will be a negative marking of 1/3rd or 0.66 marks.
• There will be 80 questions in the CSAT paper contains with 2.5 marks for each question with 1/3rd or 0.83 marks of negative marking.
• No marks will be deducted for questions that you choose to leave unanswered.

UPSC Civil Service & Forest Service Mains Pattern :

• Paper 1 (Language Paper) and Paper 2 (English language) are qualifying in nature with 300 marks each. The minimum qualifying marks in papers 1 and 2 is 25%.
• Attempting all papers is compulsory.
• The duration of each paper is 3 hours (180 minutes).
• The subject-wise papers consist of 250 marks.
• In case you don’t qualify in Paper 1 and Paper 2, the rest of the mark sheets shall not be considered for evaluation and you will be declared disqualified/failed.

Step 1- Registration Process

• A new page will appear. New Users will have to register first.
• Click on New User Register.
• A new page will appear to enter your mobile no. and email to register yourself.
• An OTP will be sent to your mobile no. and email, fill and click on “Submit”.
• A Login Id and Password will be sent to your registered mobile no. and email id.

Step 2- Login

• Login using the Registration Number and Password. Select the post.
• Fill up other details such as educational qualifications etc. depending upon the educational qualification of the candidate.
• Pay the examination fee as applicable, online using a Credit/Debit Card or Internet Banking
• Candidates are required to upload their scanned color photograph and Signature (in English or in Hindi) in JPEG format.
• Login with your Registration Number and Password in the link for “UPLOAD” and thereafter, upload the file/scanned filled
• Upload all the required certificates
• Submit the application. Print out the acknowledgment for records.
