- Stage-1 : Written Exam (Computer Based Test)
- Stage-2 : Trade Test
- Stage-3 : Document Verification
- Stage-4 : Medical Examination

PGCIL Junior Technician Trainee Exam Pattern :
- The question paper shall be of 02 hours duration with objective type with four answer choices for each question
- Part-I [Technical Knowledge (TKT)] – 120 Questions and Part-II [Aptitude Test (AT)] – 50 Questions
- All questions carry equal marks (1 mark)
- Wrong and multiple answers would result in negative marks of ¼
- TKT shall comprise of questions from ITI – Electrician Trade and AT shall comprise of General English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude & General Awareness
- Qualifying marks : Unreserved / EWS Vacancies – Minimum 40% marks in total, Reserved Vacancies – Minimum 30% marks in total
